"And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men"
Colossians 3:23
Each student’s schedule is personalized, but most weeks include a balance of video lessons, hands-on activities, reading, projects, and live video sessions. Daily tasks are intentionally designed to be manageable and meaningful, building consistency while allowing flexibility for family rhythms, rest, and exploration.
Yes—community and relationship are central to Legacy & Leadership Collective. This collective is intentionally designed not just to support academic growth, but to cultivate meaningful, lasting relationships among students and families.
Students regularly interact through live video sessions, collaborative projects, mixed-age learning experiences, and shared challenges that encourage communication, leadership, and empathy. These interactions are structured to help students truly know one another, rather than simply coexist in large, impersonal groups.
Beyond the online space, families gather together for at least one in-person convention each year, creating opportunities for deeper connection, shared memories, and real-world friendships. Additional optional meetups may occur through projects, activities, or contests, further strengthening bonds within the community.
Because the collective is intentionally small and values-aligned, relationships are formed with care and depth. Our hope is that students grow together over time, building friendships rooted in shared values, mutual respect, and encouragement—connections that continue well beyond graduation, into adulthood, and old age.
We are an online community that meets 3 times a week. While we aim to have at least 1 meet up a year, it is not required.
Because Legacy & Leadership Collective is a 100% online school, screen time is used intentionally and appropriately—not excessively. The amount of time a student spends online varies by age, learning needs, and personalized learning path.
Younger students (Pre-K–early elementary) spend shorter, focused periods online for lessons and connection, with much of their learning happening offline through hands-on activities, guided play, reading, and real-world exploration. As students grow older, online time gradually increases to support independent learning, discussions, research, and live Zoom sessions.
Across all ages, screens are a tool, not the center of learning. Our goal is to support deep thinking, creativity, responsibility, and balance—ensuring students develop healthy digital habits while engaging meaningfully with the world around them.
Parents play an active and essential role at Legacy & Leadership Collective. Families collaborate in selecting their child’s personalized learning path and support their child in completing daily tasks and responsibilities. This partnership ensures learning remains aligned with each child’s needs, family values, and long-term goals, while fostering accountability, consistency, and meaningful growth at home and within the learning community.
Support begins with compassion, flexibility, and genuine partnership.
The school is led by Ashley Ace, who brings both professional training and lived understanding to her work with families. She is deeply attuned to the realities parents face and is willing to walk alongside families through life’s ups and downs. In seasons of transition or difficulty—such as grief, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, or family crisis—Ashley may temporarily step in to support learning more directly, helping ensure continuity without added pressure on parents.
Ashley is a trained doula and birth educator, well-versed in postpartum care, trauma-informed practices, and domestic violence awareness. She is also certified in Human Design and knowledgeable in circadian rhythms, nervous system regulation, and the complexities of family dynamics. This background allows her to support families with empathy, discernment, and practical guidance—not judgment.
Our approach is rooted in the belief that when parents are supported, children thrive. Families are met where they are, given space when needed, and encouraged with steadiness and grace as they regain confidence and rhythm.
She understands that life can sometimes feel overwhelming. Parents receive guidance, clear expectations, and ongoing support throughout the year. Her approach emphasizes partnership, not pressure—helping families settle into routines and navigative the hurdles of life with clarity rather than stress.
